Wallet addresses are public. Let’s say you buy your crypto on coinbase and send it to your ledger. Anyone can keep an eye on the coinbase wallet and then just send an nft to any address that has an outgoing transaction from that coinbase wallet. Fees on polygon are so small that they can send thousands of those nfts for a few bucks
