Not exactly the question you were asking, but…
You should see two accounts in your MetaMask wallet, probably named something like „Account 1“ and „Trezor 1“. (I have a Ledger, and I see „Ledger 1“.) Each one has an address, so you should be able to send coins directly to your Trezor address and pay gas only once instead of sending coins to MetaMask „Account 1“ and then sending to your Tezor, which would incur two gas charges.
