Hallo zusammen. Ich habe gerade diese Woche meinen neuen Ledger eingerichtet. Das erste Mal, dass ich eine Hardware-Wallet verwende. Ich setze derzeit die Mehrheit meiner Vermögenswerte auf Kraken, und habe mit ihrem Service zufrieden gewesen. Ich habe mich über die unterstützten Münzen auf Ledger Live informiert (DOT, ADA, ATOM), die ich hauptsächlich verwenden würde. Ich konnte auf der Ledger-Website keine festgelegte Belohnungsrate finden. Der Prozess der Bindung und Staking DOT mit einem validitor klang auch kompliziert. Also, wollte nur einige Einblicke von Menschen derzeit Staking über die Belohnungen und die UI für Staking auf Ledger zu bekommen. Ich würde gerne alle meine Münzen an einem Ort haben, aber wenn Staking mit Kraken einfach und einfacher ist, muss ich sie vielleicht einfach dort lassen.

ATOM is easy to stake on Ledger. Not sure if you can stake ADA. You can easily stake DOT as long as you are a rocket scientist.

You can stake DOT and ATOM with Ledger Live. ATOM is easy-peasy (although using Keplr is even more user friendly). For DOT, you just need a degree in computer science but after that it can be done with enough time and effort.

For, ADA you need AdaLite or another interface, although I believe Ledger Live has recently started to support ADA if I recall correctly.

Tezos is also easy to stake. For ADA, you have to log in to ADALite (https://adalite.io/) or a similar web-based wallet to stake… but they have Ledger support, so this is pretty easy & just as safe as with Ledger Live. Participating in ALGO governance is also super easy, if you’re interested in that.

I agree with the above sentiment that staking DOT is a pain in the ass, though…

Does anyone know if I stake through ledger are my coins safe? Self custody and all that? Or the go to an exchange defi whatever and they are in risk

You can easily stake your ADA using ADAlite or Yoroi wallet. Please note that when you use third party wallet, you are only using their interface. Your private keys remain secured by the Ledger device. More info here 👇🏻

For DOT staking it is a bit complicated. You can stake your assets via Ledger Live app but it does not gurantee regular rewards. This could be related to various reasons.
* the validator you delegated DOT to, has gone offline
* the validator has changed his commission policy and now takes a 100% commission
* the validator is oversubscribed

Don’t forget AVAX as well. You need an avax wallet and access your ledger there, similar to ADA lite.

DOT Is really not that bad. Just bond and nominate 16 validators and it will auto select for you every day.
