Seed phrases don’t work this way, they can’t be wiped, disabled or anything like that….

Firstly, ignore all the scammers who will send you private messages, they are all scammers… Don’t give your seed to anyone…

Secondly, you probably just have a small typo in your seed. The first step would be to check that all of your words are in the BIP39 word list. (https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/english.txt) This is easy to notice if any of the seed words aren’t offered when you recover the seed onto the Trezor.

Trezor also have a list of commonly mispelled words, so if your handwriting is even slightly ambiguous on any of the words here, focus on that: https://trezor.io/support/a/commonly-misspelled-recovery-seed-words (Though obviously don’t just text-search the page and end up typing your seed words in…)

If this doesn’t work then there are also options like BTCRecover (run totally offline) which allow you to recover from up to two words completely wrong.

Ya. @Crypto-guide is right. Ignore DMs. The only other possibility would be that your Trezor was somehow fried (did you drop it in a lake while fishing?). If so, buy another, input your seeds and bingo bango jingle jangle.

It shouldn’t matter that your Trezor created a new wallet. Your bitcoin doesn’t move. Is the Trezor actually connected ok? As long as your seed is correct both wallets will be there. Check on top right if you have any incoming notifications ie new wallet.

As long as you have your seed phrase, you lost nothing and you can restore your wallet

      >tried several times to enter the words that were appearing on the trezor into my laptop but each time the login failed

Two things very wrong with that. One: you should never type the words you see on your trezor into your laptop. That sounds like you may have been copying the seed phrase from your trezor into your laptop. If any software on your computer ever asks for words from your trezor, it’s malware trying to steal your money.

On the bright side, the trezor only ever displays the seed phrase once when you first initialize a new wallet, so if you were in fact compromising your seed phrase, hopefully it’s a meaningless, empty one.

Secondly, your seed phrase does *not* serve as any kind of login, so of course the login failed.

So ya, hopefully you copied the original seed phrase down when you initially created your hardware wallet. Just reinitialize your trezor and choose to recover wallet and enter your seed phrase *into the trezor* to recover your funds.
