You simply lack knowledge, arguing in this case is not necessary, find out for yourself, google is free.

iPhones are not even close to as secure as you think. Just a few years ago, 500 Million iPhones were infected with Malware right out of the AppStore, did Apple ever say anything? Weird. Dont. Trust. Apple.

I trusted them way too long, dont do the same mistake.

I cant find the Appstore malware anymore, but here is another attack that happened through Apples own Mail client: https://lujuba.cc/en/241838.html

Now if you say: Oh the iPhone is always in Airplane mode, just not when using a certain App, that is enough to attack. Ian Beer released a couple years ago an exploit that allowed to take full control of an iPhone without even pairing it to a bluetooth device. iPhones are by design not secure. And thats coming from someone who would have defended Apple to death not too long ago.

      > Go buy an iPhone SE or any newer iPhone. Make sure it’s brand new. Install Trust Wallet on the phone, use Ellipal Joy to create a 24 recovery phrase. Enter that phrase into Trust Wallet in airplane mode. Set up a 6 digit PIN to access the iPhone, and one on Trust Wallet as well. To make it even more secure, I gave Trust Wallet a 1 minute a day screen time allowance, then added another 4 digit PIN so if somehow someone got my iPhone and got my 6 digit PIN, they would then need to enter a 4 digit PIN to unlock it from screen time, then after that would need another separate 6 digit PIN to access the wallet.

This is inherently insecure. I know you don’t connect your iphone often to the internet, but when you do, it is vulnerable. There has been several zero-day exploits on iphone.

      > So long as you keep the OS up to date, and never install any other apps on the phone or go to any suspect website I think this option is far safer and superior to any cold wallet system available.

This is very debatable. You need to connect your iphone to the network to update the OS, plus, how can be sure that the wallet app you installed (Trust Wallet) was not compromized? I know this is very unlikely, but IMHO, a hardware wallet like ledger is much more secure than an iPhone.

But it’s your cryptos, so you should do what’s best for you. I definitely do not agree with your choices, personally.

      Yes terrible idea.

      Airgap would be better.

You are prioritizing convenience, always available trading and shitcoins over security.
