Ich hoffe, dass ich euch alle zum letzten Mal mit dieser Situation belästigen kann.

Gibt es beim Auspacken und Einrichten eines trezor model t irgendetwas im Handbuch oder bei der Online-Einrichtung, das darauf hinweist oder dazu auffordert, eine größere PIN-Nummer zu verwenden? Wird überhaupt erwähnt, dass die PIN-Nummer mehr als 4 Ziffern haben kann (ich weiß, dass sie nicht bis zu 50 Ziffern haben kann)?

Ich versuche nur, meinem Gedächtnis auf die Sprünge zu helfen, um zu verstehen, warum ich nicht dieselbe 4-stellige PIN-Nummer wählen sollte, die ich für alles verwende.

The PIN is effective in case you’ve lost your wallet and you don’t have a passphrase. I’d suggest having something complex enough that’s not 0000 but something easy enough to memorize. For instance I use the same pin as I have for my bank card + something extra, I know that I can’t forget that.

You are way more likely to lose funds via phising or seed misplacing, so don’t overthink this

It can be up to 50 digits, assuming up update the firmware first. I usually set my PINs at either 9 or 12 digits.

For obvious reasons you should use the same PIN you use for everything else, since it is much more likely to be compromised.

However, when it comes to the Trezor PIN having repeating digits is less effective since a compromised computer will reveal that for example the first and forth digit is the same, and therefore the forth digit wouldn’t add to the security in this case.

Having for example 5, 6 or 7 digits without repetition and without using the PIN anywhere else should be more than enough for most people. Also obviously avoid your birthday or other significant numbers.
