Hallo!

ich möchte meine Kryptowährung in Metamask auf Trezor übertragen. Bei der Ersteinrichtung von Trezor habe ich die Option “Create new wallet” verwendet. Als ich jedoch im Internet suchte, wie ich die Metamask-Wallet auf Trezor übertragen kann, wurde mir empfohlen, auf “Recover Wallet” zu klicken und die Seed-Phrase für die Metamask-Wallet einzugeben. Da ich bereits eine neue Wallet in Trezor eingerichtet habe, was sollte ich jetzt tun, um meine Kryptowährung in Metamask auf Trezor zu übertragen? Wenn ich das Gerät lösche und neu beginne, bleibt das Trezor-Konto doch bestehen, oder? Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfe!

Recovering from seed phrase will import the account into the trezor. However that will almost defeat the purpose of a hardware wallet. If you want to send funds from MetaMask to trezor. Find the corresponding account (ETH address on trezor) then send ETH and only Eth to that address. If you want to send an erc-20 token, search the token name then use that address to receive that specific token.

In my opinion, once you recover from a seed phrase. Transfer the funds to a new wallet. Especially if you imported from MetaMask as the data is on the browser, where as the trezor is secured within the device!

Dont recover a metamask seed on your trezor.
Make a new seed on your trezor and send all your funds to it.

Using a the metamask seed is not safe because its a online generated key.
