Wie macht man aus einem 24-Wörter-Samen zwei 12-Wörter-Samen?

Hallo!

ich habe derzeit einen 24-Wort-Seed für meine Cold Wallets. Zur Sicherheit habe ich diese in zwei 12-Wörter aufgeteilt und die 12-Wörter an verschiedenen Orten gespeichert.

Für zusätzliche Sicherheit würde ich gerne eine Wallet aus genau diesen 12 Wörtern erstellen, auf der ich nur eine kleine Menge Krypto hinterlasse. Dies wird mich alarmieren, wenn meine 12-Wörter jemals kompromittiert werden. Kann ich das tun, und wenn ja, wie?

Soweit ich weiß, muss das letzte Wort eine Prüfsumme aller anderen vorangegangenen Wörter sein, daher scheint das, was ich verlange, nicht wirklich machbar zu sein?

This is basicly what the 25th word (passphrase) is for. The seed unlocks the original wallets, seed+25th another set. First (original) wallets could be used as decoy or plausible deniability.

This won’t usually work, because the last word in any particular seed phrase is also used as a checksum, for that seed. So the 12th word would need to be a valid checksum for those 12 words, and usually that isn’t the case when you just take 12 words from a valid 24 word phrase.

I don’t think what you’re asking is possible. Also if your words get compromised they’re taking your whole balance right away, being alerted won’t give you any time to react realistically.

It’s possible if you want to start from scratch.

Create a 12 word wallet. Put some crypto in it. Create a second 12 word wallet, put some crypto in it. Then use 12 of the words as a passphrase with the other wallet to create a 3rd wallet. Keep the majority of your crypto in this 3rd wallet.
