No concerns. Send the xrp to an exchange, reset the ledger, set it up and send it back. You lose 10xrp I think because there’s a minimum keep alive balance and I think no exchange support the process to send the last 10 (I know because that’s how I lost them 😉 )

So someone gifted you some XRP ‘on’ a ledger.

Since it is a gift, they would have given you the 24 word passphrase (so they will know it too) and if you add to that account, they can easily remove it at some future date. It is not safely yours!

If they gave you the ledger without the 24 word passphrase, just the 4 digit access code that is even worse!

You should immediately create a new account. Best would be to do it in another ledger, or on an exchange. Transfer all your crypto there, then reset your ledger and create a new account to receive it back!

I would consider buying another LEDGER device, and after it is set up, transfer all the crypto from the original wallet(s) to the new wallet(s) set up with the new device.

After you transfer your crypto over, I would reset the original device and sync that Nano S to the new device (same seed phrase as the new device). Now you have (2) synchronized devices you can store in different locations.

Assuming you will never use the original seed again, you can use that seed phrase to restore your wallet on any software wallet (you don’t actually need a ledger) that supports XRP. Then you can just send your XRP to the new address that you generated and then dump the software wallet.

You can set a hot wallet such as [XRP Toolkit](https://www.xrptoolkit.com/) and send at least 10 XRP from your Ledger address.

As far as Ik really no need to transfer to exchange if your coins already on the blockchain… jus reset your account with new seed (hopefully able to)
