      Hallo,

If they get your SEED Phrase its game over! Say bye bye to all your coins. NEVER EVER EVER give or enter you seed phrase anywhere PERIOD.

Your LEDGER is what is called a COLD WALLET DEVICE – EXODUS is a HOT WALLET. Very different ways to store your CRYPTO. I don’t keep anything on HOT WALLETS.

You re right about the seed, it has absolute control on your crypto.

They main difference between Ledger & Exodus is that the ledger keep the seed Offline (ledger never goes online) whereas Exodus keep it Online.

Another difference is that someone can hack your phone and transferred your crypto without the need for you to do anything whereas with the ledger you need to have it connected+physical press ledger to move crypto.

Also, someone can go into exodus setting and see the seed, this is impossible with a ledger (this does not exist)

Basically you can’t stole what you can’t see and no one can see your ledger seed because it’s physically display on the ledger 1 time that’s all. On exodus, your phone can see the seed with a screenshot or screen record or simply by going into settings and show the seed.

      Hope this helps !

All that’s needed to clear your wallet is the seed phrase…

Offline seed generation with a true hardware randomizer is what ledger offers

Basically, the only way someone can access your ledger wallet is by physically breaking into your house and accessing the paper with your seedphrase (this assuming you don’t store your seedphrase online, on any digital notepad or software).
Online wallets, despite their safety measures, can at some point be hacked
Ledger is the safest choice mate

Your seed phrase is the key to your crypto. Anyone with access to it can potentially enter it in metamask (or any wallet that supports the EVM blockchains for the matter) and transact without your permission. What your ledger does is that it generates stores your private keys and seed phrase on the device itself, without exposing it to the internet. Which is why, at all times we always say don’t store your seed phrases anywhere digitally (ironically since we’re living in the digital world rn)

If someone is able to steal your seed phrase they can take control of your crypto.

Keep in mind that you actually don’t own your crypto but you own a private key. Your Ledger device keeps your crypto safe because your Ledger device keeps your private key offline.
