Your coins are on the blockchain/cloud, your ledger only holds the seed phrase and confirms transactions.

In the future, you should never need your seed phrase unless you lose your ledger and are restoring to another hardware wallet. In that event, you enter it on the device itself, never on a keyboard.

There are a lot of fake „Ledger Live“ apps and emails circulating that ask you to enter your seed, don’t ever do that.

You should never **ever** type your seed phrase into your computer, especially not Ledger Live. >!The reason why I say especially not Ledger Live is because Ledger Live will never ask for it. Therefore, if your Ledger Live is asking you for the seed phrase, it’s a fake Ledger Live.!<

The only time you type your seed phrase is **into the hard wallet itself** and only as a **last resort**.

The only thing needed to import your accounts into a new Ledger Live is to connect your Nano device to the new computer. All of the information needed will be in your Nano device. The Nano will feed the relevant information to your Ledger Live.

When you say you downloaded all the apps, do you mean you downloaded onto the Nano device or onto Ledger Live?

Your Nano device should have all the apps already installed, if it’s the same device you’ve been using previously. It seems like adding the relevant blockchains manually to your Ledger Live is the only action needed.

Hello, indeed as mentioned by the helpful comments, neither an authentic version of Ledger Live, nor a Ledger representative will ever ask you for your 24 words recovery phrase. Your recovery phrase will only be asked when you want to restore your existing accounts on a Ledger Nano.

Ledger Live will never ask you for a recovery phrase. It will ask you to confirm the connection on the Ledger Nano device (by pressing the physical buttons).

Ledger Live stores all the data locally, so your data (accounts, settings, transactions etc. are all stored only on the device itself). When you set up Ledger Live on a new computer, you need to sync all your accounts.

Warning:
