Because $SAND exists on multiple chains, usually you dictate which chain you are interacting with. I would start by confirming which chain was used if possible. Yes, the wallet addresses across chains can be the same which makes research a little easier for you.
If you got to etherscan.io and plug in your wallet address in the search bar, no need to connect your wallet, you can see an aggregate of all the coins/tokens that wallet holds. If you don’t see $SAND on the ethereum chain, there is a link to open up the same wallet review on many other chains towards the top. Go through the different chains until you find your coins.
Good luck!
