The enter your old seed in a phone wallet like coinomi you should see your bch and maybe bitcoin gold (the only ones worth anything)

One way to do it is to import the private key to electrum cash (bitcoin cash) and electrum SV (BSV) but you have to be extremely careful when doing this, and check step by step. The first step would be to export the private key from bitcoin core. If possible you have to do all the steps that you can offline. There might be other better ways with less risks nowadays using the ledger.

Here is what i would do:

1) make sure you have no other crypto in accounts derived from your old seed, other than the BCH and other „split coins“ you want to recover.

2) recover those „split coins“, either by using your old ledger, or by entering your old ledger seed in a newer ledger, or by entering your old ledger seed in a software wallet that supports those „split coins“ that you want to recover

Note that if the screen of your old nano s turned dim or is dead, those screens are very easy to replace and they cost less than $5 on aliexpress.

Totally fixable.

You can swap out the screen easy. I bought 2 extra screens 10 days ago and they just landed from the supplier. Cost was 10 USD for each screen. Be sure to check your ledger to see what kind of screen to get. They have a 12 and 15 pin connector. I needed the 12 pin one.

Ledger’s have one or the other. Only way to tell is to open it up and check. Good luck!
