Hallo Leute, ich habe einen Ledger Nano S Plus vor dem ganzen Ledger Recovery Debakel gekauft. Ich habe ihn heute erhalten, aber festgestellt, dass er in Ungarn hergestellt wurde. Ist das normal? Der Kauf wurde direkt auf der Website von Ledger getätigt.

Mine all have very similar packaging/labeling but just say „Made in France“. I’m guessing that Ledger shifted manufacturing to Hungary (an EU member), or decided to be more transparent (in specifically identifying place of manufacture.)
Looks legit, but maybe someone from Ledger can clarify what actually changed.

ps. judging from all these posts, it is very obvious that people are very security conscious and diligent, in at least all the ways that they can control. More power to them. They take self-custody seriously, and understand the consequences for not doing so.
No matter how small their concern, nobody is dismissing them, calling out their posts as FUD, deriding them for not understanding manufacturing outsourcing, criticizing them for being paranoid their device is tampered with, or asserting „don’t worry about it, nothing changed!“
…Contrast that with people’s dismissive and derisive responses to concerns about substantive software changes to the firmware, Ledger Live and custody of keys (aka „Recover“).
