If during the update, the app or website you were on asked you to enter your seed, unfortunately you were a victim of a scammer who stole your coins. A Trezor update will never ask you to enter your seed.

post the address of the wallet that stole your BTC. Someone might be able to track the money.

There are details you aren’t giving us. If you aren’t making up the whole story, it’s long gone and you can’t get it back. You obviously typed the seed into your computer, into some malware that phished you.

Please give us an exact play by play recount of everything that happened with more detail.

What ever you do, do not give anyone your seed, even if they say they are from Trezor support.

Get another Trezor and do an advanced recovery using your seed

One of your comments implies that you did not type in your seed phrase. Another one of your comments implies that you did type in your seed phrase.

Which is it? At any point during the upgrade, did you type in your seed phrase anywhere at all? Only you will know if you actually did this or not. Did you even look at your seed phrase anywhere during the upgrade?

Based on the questions you answered, you got scammed. The „update“ (in quotes because it was a fake update) installed malware on your hardware (or computer) and got you to supply your seed to them.

The only time you should ever see your seed phrase is the first time when you write it down (in a non-digital format), or when you’re restoring your wallet on a brand new and factory sealed Trezor.

When you bank for yourself, you’re free from institutions, but you’re also in charge of your own security. Hopefully yourself and others can learn from the mistake. It’s an unfortunate setback, but you can start over again. It’s not the end of the world. Best of luck!

      Edit: clarified update.

Seems to be reading alot of these lately. Did you enter your seed on the computer or on the trezor device?

I’ve never once had to enter my seed for my Trezor.
The only time I had to do anything like this was to confirm in the correct order particular words from my seed directly on my trezor.

If I am ever asked to provide my seed then I know it’s a scam.

Firstly, ignore the swarms of scammers who send you PMs, they are all after your seed…

So did your device get wiped as part of the update? (Before wiping anything, perform a recovery check to see if the seed matches your original backup)

You went to a phishing site or downloaded some fake software and your coins have been stolen. Sorry for your loss.

The funds are gone. Please list all of the places your words have been stored or entered and we can try to reverse engineer where it may have been lost.
