First you need to update the firmware on your ledger device. Then, once the firmware is updated, you will be able to update the Ethereum app as needed.

But note that in order to update the ledger firmware, first you have to install the latest Ledger Live, that you can get from ledger [dot] com website.

1) install the latest ledger live

2) in LL manager, update your ledger firmware

3) the firmware update should automatically install the latest apps, but if it does not do it, you can manually install the latest ETH app.

First of all, what are you trying to move? if you just want to use metamask to do something with that ETH, why don’t you just LOG INTO METAMASK WITH YOUR LEDGER DEVICE? You will get the same address in metamask that you have in ledger live, with the ETH that’s on it.

Do you really want to move your ETH to a different wallet (not secured by the ledger, but by a different seed phrase)?
