All Ledger is, is a cold wallet first and foremost. If you don’t like Ledger Live, just use something else. Your crypto is on the blockchain and doesn’t give a shit what app you use to interact with it.
Moving funds away from your Ledger based cold wallet for… a different cold wallet isn’t going to change anything other than wasting money. If anything, people will just look at you like you don’t understand how crypto works.
