Not really, because if a hacker has access to your account and if they can’t access your coins because they are staked… the hacker will build a bot that will transfer those coins the very second they are eligible to be released from staking, and they can make that transfer with a bot much quicker than you can.
Staking is great, and needs better support in Trezor, but it is definitely not a layer of security.
