MM allows you to interact (transact) ERC20 tokens. Linking your Trezor to MM makes it more secure, because in order to approve a transaction, you need to approve it on your Trezor. Your keys never leave your Trezor and cannot be hacked. Unlike MM which stores your keys on your browser-which is less secure. That’s it.
Keep in mind, when you connect your Trezor, it uses addresses created from your Trezor and not MM. So if you log into MM without your Trezor connected, you may not see your balances because the addresses were created by your Trezor. This is why it’s crucial to store your seed phrases from MM and Trezor separately and securely in case you need to change wallets or devices if one goes bad
