Ist es möglich, die abgeleitete Seed-Phrase für eine Kette aus der Ledger-Seed-Phrase zu erhalten? Konkret möchte ich die entsprechende Seed-Phrase für das Algorand-Konto wissen, das mein Ledger erstellt hat. Auf diese Weise kann ich diese Seed Phrase in die Soft Wallet von Algorand importieren und mein Telefon benutzen, um Transaktionen auf diesem speziellen Konto zu signieren, anstatt jedes Mal den Ledger herauszuholen. Dieses Konto ist wie ein Girokonto, das nicht viel enthält, aber sehr oft benutzt wird und lästig ist, weil ich ständig Transaktionen mit Ledger unterschreiben muss. Die Einrichtung eines separaten Kontos ohne Ledger bedeutet jedoch, dass ich eine zusätzliche Seed-Phrase aufbewahren muss, was lästig wird, wenn ich dies mit mehreren Ketten tun möchte. Wenn ich die abgeleitete Seed-Phrase von Ledger erhalten kann, muss ich nur eine Seed-Phrase aufbewahren.

You have to do such a thing with a BIP39 tool (such as the Ian Coleman site). However this needs to only be done on an airgapped computer since otherwise you are exposing your seed phrase. Finally I’m not sure if the Ian Coleman BIP39 tool has been updated to display Algorand keys though, but it does work with other types of crypto you might own.

Unfortunately, last time I checked, algorand did not have any software wallet that supports the bip39 standard,

You can ask the algorand team if they have a software tool that can be used to derive their private key(s) from a bip39 seed (i.e. 24-word seed phrase + optional bip39 passphrase).

If they have one, you’d have to be very careful and run this tool only on an airgapped system, in an amnesiac environment, to avoid any risk of leaking your ledger seed in the process.

Which Algorand soft wallet? MyAlgo is not BIP39 compatible. It uses the same word list, but it directly encodes the private key into 25 words. (Not 24 words + passphrase). Ledger seed phrases don’t work in My Algo or vice versa. Maybe there is some other Algorand wallet which is BIP39 compatible though.

Hello, Thanks for reaching out. Your private keys for all your crypto assets are derived from the 24 words recovery phrase you got during the set up process.

You can export your private keys from your 24-word recovery phrase by using the BIP39 tool.

Please be aware that you will be exposing your 24-word Recovery Phrase and private keys on a platform on which the security level has not been audited by Ledger. Ledger cannot be held liable for any possible outcome of this procedure.

Kindly note that Ledger does not provide technical support for exporting your private keys from your 24-word Recovery phrase. It is recommended to execute the following steps on an offline and trusted computer.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I guess I’ll just stick with writing down the extra set of passphrases for now. It doesn’t seem like the effort is worth it.
