Fees depend on the size of the transaction on the blockchain (vByte), not the AMOUNT of the transaction.

Coinbase does not impose any fee to transfer crypto TO them, which is why you can’t find any information on it. The only fee you will pay to send BTC to Coinbase is the current transaction fee associated with sending BTC between 2 addresses.

Most people overpay when it comes to transaction fees, especially for Bitcoin (which currently has very low transfer fees…often 1 to 5 sats/vByte), but underpaying can put you in a difficult position. If you don’t understand transaction fees, or know how to find the current average fees for a coin, it’s worth spending some time researching how to do that.

It depends on how congested is the network. If you are not in a hurry to transfer your btc, you can check on a mempool explorer for the best time to have the lower fees:

Typical transaction fee is less than $1. If things are crazy and the blockchain is congested then maybe a few dollars. If things are absolutely bananas and you want your transaction in the next block, as much as $50.
