Hallo!

yes. Imagine trezor as a television or a monitor screen. All it does is display your crypto details so they dont have to be displayed on your computer screen for security reasons and internet.

Your crypto is accessible from anywhere without trezor or any device using your 12 or 24 word seed, thus the fact we need that „television“ to make sure the seed never touches internet.

Apart from what I explained above, trezor is also needed to approve sending money out of your account. Not needed for anything else. Your crypto is not in trezor its in the blockchain

the answer is both yes and no. different wallets can have different derivation path without offering to change it if you come from another wallet

BTC and ETH wont be a problem but other altcoins like ADA and i believe many more may have issues.

if you lose your trezor they won’t be able to access your coins if they don’t know your pin code that blocks the trezor. You just need the words to restore your wallet in another trezor or hardwallet or even a web wallet. But don’t do the last one, since the hardwallet mission is to generate the seed in a secure way. The best thing to do would be to restore your wallet in a new hard wallet.

What you need to protect by all means is your 12-24 word seed. Engrave it in metal and hide it somewhere where you (and only you) can get it back without anyone to find it. If anybody finds those words, they can restore the access to your wallet and drain all your funds!

Yes it’s possible, but I would advise to not recover using Exodus or another software wallet. That ruins the additional security your wallet had by being stored cold. So if you lose your Trezor, then recover it using another cold wallet (Trezor, Ledger, Coldcard, you name it), but not a hot wallet.

Do it quickly as well, because the Trezor can be physically hacked once a thief has it physically in its possession and has the right tools. So restore the wallet fast and send your coins to a newly generated wallet.

Hi, sure you can! Trezor is compatible with other BIP32, BIP39 and BIP44 wallets. Though you can import your seed to some online wallets, it is definitely recommended to rather use a hardware wallet.

However, if your Trezor was stolen, I would suggest importing the seed to another wallet (online or hardware) immediately, so that you can transfer your coins elsewhere, and then you should create a new wallet (seed) with another hardware wallet and move the funds to it.
It is better to move the coins to a new seed that was generated with a hardware wallet, even if your stolen Trezor was locked with a PIN.
