Hallo vor ein paar Jahren habe ich ledger live installiert, aber fast sofort wieder deinstalliert (aber ich bin mir nicht 100% sicher, ob ich das Konto erstellt habe oder nicht, wahrscheinlich ja, weil ich den Seed erstellt habe, so dass ich wahrscheinlich alles in der App sehen konnte), weil mein ledger Probleme mit Tasten hatte, also habe ich es zurückgeschickt.

ich habe es vor ein paar Jahren deinstalliert, ich habe die normale Windows-Prozedur zum Deinstallieren des Programms durchgeführt. ist das normal? ich meine, selbst nach der Deinstallation der app bleibt ein Ordner mit allen Informationen erhalten?

Ich bezweifle, dass es sich um eine gefälschte App handelt, da ich sie von der offiziellen Seite heruntergeladen habe und der Hash derselbe ist, aber es ist seltsam, dass sie nach dem Pass fragt und auch deshalb frage ich, lieber auf Nummer sicher gehen…

If you used ledger live once before uninstalling it, it probably made you setup a password to protect the wallet details that are cached locally on your computer.

If you don’t remember the password and you’re sure you won’t miss those details, just select „I lost my password“ on the password page. This will wipe out the local files and let you create a new password.

(That password is not your seed phrase, it’s just something to prevent casual looky-loos from starting up the app and peeking at the information there.)

Ledger Live will retain this information, so even if you uninstall Ledger Live and then re-install it again at a later date, you’ll see your accounts from the previous instance still show in the interface.

If you’re looking to completely wipe your version of Ledger Live (so that the account histories and balances are refreshed back to a factory reset) – you can go to „**settings**“ > „**help**“ > „**reset** **Ledger** **Live**“ – and this will erase the information from prior instances, including the accounts, transaction histories, and settings.

Notably, this will have *no* effect on the funds associated with these accounts. For any reason if Ledger Live is reset, perhaps accidentally, you can simply plug your Ledger into the computer and manually add back all of your accounts from the „accounts“ tab.
