Ich kaufte ein ledger Nano S im Jahr 2017 und kaufte BTC zu der Zeit, die ich auf dem ledger nano gehalten.

Ich habe es 6 Jahre lang nicht angerührt, weil ich darauf gewartet habe, dass ich ein Haus kaufe.

Ich versuche jetzt, besagtes Haus zu kaufen, schloss Ledger Nano S an den Computer an, lud Ledger Live herunter, loggte sich mit meinem Pin von vor 6 Jahren in Ledger Nano S ein, aber wenn ich auf „Mein Ledger“ klicke, um auf BTC auf meinem physischen Ledger zuzugreifen, heißt es „Gerät erkannt, aber Verbindung fehlgeschlagen. Bitte versuchen Sie es erneut oder kontaktieren Sie den Ledger-Support, wenn das Problem weiterhin besteht“. Wenn ich das Ledger nano s selbst (der kleine LCD-Bildschirm) und scrollen Sie zu Bitcoin es sagt „verwenden Wallet Konten anzeigen“. Wie kann ich meine BTC wiederherstellen und auf ein anderes Wallet übertragen?

Update 555 pm: Nach der Verwendung von 5 Micro-USB-Kabel geschafft, es mit dem ältesten zu arbeiten und die Anwendung einer Tonne Druck auf Firmware 1.6 und die Installation von Wallet zu aktualisieren. Vielen Dank an Sie! Es waren ein paar beängstigende Stunden, da wir so schnell wie möglich eine Hypothekenbewilligung in unserem speziellen Wohnungsmarkt benötigten.

Your can use your backed up seed in a new ledger, or trezor or hot wallet. Please tell me you have a backup and wrote your seed somewhere.

Ignore all dm’s – they are all suckers.

Edit: or reset your ledger and restore your seed there.

The original Nano S was very sensitive to janky cables. I know this is an obvious one but I would try getting a nice thick shielded micro usb cable and try again. I pulled out an old ledger nano s yesterday and I got the same error until I used a fancy cloth covered three in one usb cable I had on hand and it worked. Also, I hope you have your seed phrase somewhere but if not this would be my first try at a fix.

Try a new USB cable. If that doesn’t work try a different laptop, like a new Mac if you’re on PC or the other way around.

So glad you worked it out…. But PLEASE say that you have your seed phrase written down or — even better— stamped into a stainless steel plate and stored in a secure location.

1: Make sure you own the seeds.

2: Open the Bitcoin Wallet app in your Ledger device to make it connect to Ledger Live app and add bitcoin account to access your funds.
Ledger Wallet is used to install all the wallets you want. Close it after doing that. Then open the individual ones.

3: Make sure „1“ is done. If it still doesn’t connect to add accounts, update your device from Ledger Live manager and re-try after installing Bitcoin app.

4: If it still doesn’t connect, you can get a new ledger and enter your 24 word seeds to access your funds. Old Nano S has hardware problems like dimming screen anyway.

Glad it worked out. For future reference, it’s all about the seed phrase. You can get a new ledger and restore your wallet with your seed, or even input it into a hot wallet to access your btc, which will make your cold wallet hot, but it’ll work. You’ve probably heard it a million times, but I’ll say it again. Keep your seed phrase secure and in a safe place. Keep it 100% offline, no pictures, no notes app, no nothing and you’ll be fine

Btw: even if the device broke you did not lose your funds. You keep the seed phrase safe and buy a new hardware wallet. Then restore the seed phrase directly into the hardware wallet (do not type it into a computer)

The funds are not in the device.
