      Danke

I really recommend watching some YouTube videos and documents yourself about what is a ledger, how crypto are stored and what security measures you need to do.

Just a few reddit replays won’t do it

There is many videos on YouTube regarding your questions

Feel free to ask anything after I will reply 👍

I just wrote up a rather long security primer over here that might help you out https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/x5j0ds/bought_new_ledger_s_plus_what_should_i_do_to_not/in2qf3a/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3

Also I have a video showing how to do set up from scratch, which includes getting some crypto from Coinbase. I mention why you might want to use the in-app purchasing options and how it’s not the only way to buy crypto.

Check this video out and see it it helps make things click a little bit

Buy on Coinbase send to ledger.

Yes plug it in to verify it’s legit device

Your seed is stored on your ledger not your crypto. Crypto is stored on the blockchain.

You can’t Bluetooth to laptop which sucks.

Barely any wallets support ledger Bluetooth on iOS mobile. I was disappointed. However MM is supposed to start supporting ledger on mobile this fall

If token isn’t native supported in ledger you can just use MM or another 3rd party wallet with ledger.

      > Is there a maximum amount of funds i can load onto my ledger?

      No.

      > I setup ledger live in my computer and followed all the directions, it said to plug in my ledger to my pc, was i supposed to do that?

It needs to be connected to a PC to download and install crypto-specific apps as well as firmware updates. Also, you need to connect the device to a PC or phone to obtain addresses to send your funds to.

      > Should i have ledger live on my phone/pc?

It’s needed to manage the device: installing apps and updates. For handling your cryptocurrency, you can use Ledger Live or one of the alternative wallet applications that support Ledger devices.

      > Are they able to hack my ledger through ledger live?

No. The worst case scenario is that malicious software replaces the crypto-address you’re trying to send funds to. So double check before sending. This is very rare though.

      > Should i mostly be buying my crypto through ledger live? or a normal exchange like coinbase like i’ve been

Rates through LL are usually not that good. So you should probably just use a regular exchange.
