Doesn’t matter, because, if we’re talking about a lot of money on the line that shouldn’t be your security plan.

The main thing is once you reinitialize your replacement you should come up with a plan to migrate it to a new initialization. It can be troublesome with just 1 device, but that’s what I would do. Then it doesn’t really matter if someone has the old device or not because your holdings are not associated with the old device any longer.

**However, if we’re not talking about a great deal of money involved, I would probably just destroy the original and feel comfortable with that.**
