Meine Frage bezog sich auf die Ledger Swap FTX Funktion, und ich werde sie einfach kopieren und hier in diesen Beitrag einfügen:
„Ledger hat diese eingebaute Funktion, bei der man nach der Verwendung eines (öffentlichen) Schlüssels/einer Adresse einen neuen Schlüssel für die nächste Transaktion erhält, da dies zusätzliche Privatsphäre garantiert. Ich war nur neugierig, wie das mit swap ftx funktioniert? ändert ftx auch ständig den öffentlichen Schlüssel meiner Wallet, mit der sie interagieren, oder ist diese Datenschutzfunktion beeinträchtigt, da ihr euch zusammengetan habt?“
Er hatte einige sehr vage Antwort und fragte mich, über welche Währung ich sprach, nicht viel von Hilfe. Danach sagte er im Grunde, dass es sich um eine FTX-Software und ein FTX-Feature handele, so dass er es nicht wisse, was ich für eine seltsame Antwort hielt, aber wir kommen weiter. Kann mir hier jemand helfen?

The question of which coin is important here. Certain chains like BTC, LTC, ADA, DOGE, etc. Use something called an UTXO model. With UTXOs each transaction actually involves generating new addresses every time you receive transactions, and can look on-chain like you’re sending bigger transactions than you intend to, only to have the difference between that amount and the intended amount returned to something called a change address. This is a privacy feature that exists at the protocol level and is not a Ledger or FTX decision. If it’s an accounts-based coin like ETH, ATOM, DOT, etc. then it may be that FTX routs transactions using smart contracts. Either way, to provide a better answer we’ll need more information.

Your privacy wouldn’t be compromised by this because the only thing interacting with FTX would be the public address that they’re being instructed to credit funds to. This public address is derived from your private key which you will ideally always keep safely secured and never shared with anyone at any point in time.
Different types of crypto have different accounting systems implemented as well and so this will radically change how some crypto actually functions when transactions are made with it.
