Hallo zusammen, ich glaube, ich habe einen Fehler gemacht, als ich meinen Trezor mit Metamask verbunden habe.

Ich habe sie verbunden, damit ich meine Polygon-Assets auf meinem Trezor speichern und sie über Metamask verwenden kann. Am 16. Januar 2022 habe ich versucht, einen MATIC/ETH-Tausch auf metamask über das Polygon-Netzwerk vorzunehmen, und metamask ist dabei immer wieder eingefroren. Um das Problem zu lösen, löschte ich metamask und installierte es neu.

Dann habe ich meine Metamask-Wallet wiederhergestellt, aber als es an der Zeit war, meine Trezor-Wallet wiederherzustellen, konnte ich das Trezor-Konto, in dem sich mein Vermögen befand, auf Polygon nicht wiederherstellen. Ich kenne die Adresse, unter der sich mein Vermögen befindet, aber selbst wenn mein Trezor angeschlossen ist, kann ich nicht auf diese Adresse zugreifen.

Ich denke, dieser Beitrag hat zwei Fragen:

Erstens: Warum ist die Metamaske eingefroren, als ich versucht habe, den Tausch vorzunehmen?

Zweitens: Wie kann ich mein Trezor-Konto mit meinen Polygon-Assets wiederherstellen? Ich weiß, dass ich das Konto möglicherweise mit meiner Trezor-Seed-Phrase in metamask wiederherstellen könnte, aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich meine Trezor-Seed-Phrase aus Sicherheitsgründen in metamask eingeben möchte.

Für jede Hilfe wäre ich sehr dankbar.

Das Problem lag bei mir (offensichtlich). Ich habe eine Passphrase eingegeben, als ich meinen trezor zum ersten Mal mit metamask verbunden habe, wodurch ein verstecktes Konto erstellt wurde. Als ich meine Trezor erneut anschloss, vergaß ich, die Passphrase einzugeben, so dass ich dieses versteckte Konto bei der Kontoauswahl nicht auswählen konnte.

If you do not see the correct address after connecting Trezor to MetaMask, there are only 3 possibilities:

#1 You are using a different seed phrase inside the Trezor than previously. This is likely not the case, as you did not wipe the Trezor and change the seed phrase.

#2 You are not using the same passphrase as you were originally. This is possible, as this is not in the Trezor and you have to type it in manually, making it possible to mistype it.

#3 You were (unintentionally) not using the Trezor with MetaMask, you were accidently using the default MetaMask account instead of the Trezor account in MetaMask. In this case, your funds would not be restored with Trezor because they were never with Trezor to begin with. MetaMask has 2 accounts after connecting Trezor. One is the default MetaMask (non-Trezor) account, and one is the Trezor account.

It has to be one or more of those 3 items causing your issue.

Question: So the MetaMask address that you know is correct (the one you can’t find), does it show up in Suite under Ethereum? If not, then it is not the Trezor address that you think it is.

The fact of the matter is that Trezor UI has always been difficult to use properly. Crypto can’t gain mainstream acceptance until issues like this are resolved (with UI).

It has gotten to the point where I minimize my interaction with Trezor as much as possible for fear of making a mistake. I won’t even connect it to my new phone.

Scammers are e everywhere looking for issues like this as vectors to steal crypto. But Trezor seems to not care.

It is not only Trezor btw…Ledger has similar issues but less so.

I wanted to put my ADA in hardware wallet but wallet wants me to put new firmware on. And I am unwilling to risk it. My guess is it will ask me for my seed phrase and I don’t want to enter it.

I realize it is a new space with new hardware/firmware but at some point that has to stop being an excuse.

There is a market for a company to make a hardware wallet that is ACTUALLY easy to use and does terrify its users every time they use it.
