Eine Frage an die Community.

Wenn Sie eine passphrase-fähige Wallet verwenden, um Ihr Vermögen zu speichern, ist es dann eine gute Idee, einen kleinen Teil von BTC oder ETH im Wert von $10 (*wahrscheinlich BTC, da es billiger zu versenden ist*) in Ihrer Standard-Wallet (*ohne Passphrase*) als eine Art Kanarienvogel-Alarm zu halten?

Wenn ich also eines Tages meinen Kontostand überprüfe und feststelle, dass die Standard-BTC-Wallet leer ist, weiß ich, dass der Seed kompromittiert wurde und es ist Zeit, schnell zu handeln, um die mit Passwörtern gesicherten Vermögenswerte zu sichern, oder bin ich übermäßig paranoid?

Ich benutze Trezor, um Bitcoin zu sichern, und dachte mir in letzter Zeit, dass ich ein paar Dapps wie OpenSea, PancakeSwap, Sovryn Defi über ein paar verschiedene Chains (BSC/Matic/RSK) via Metamask ausprobieren würde, um zu sehen, was es mit dem ganzen web3-Aufhebens auf sich hat.

Ich bin ziemlich zuversichtlich, dass es keine Probleme/Risiken gibt, da alle Vertragsberechtigungen, die ich verwendet habe, über DeBank widerrufen wurden, aber nachdem ich mit verschiedenen Anwendungen interagiert habe, habe ich immer einen Gedanken im Hinterkopf wie… was wäre wenn!?

Ich bin sicher, dass ich übermäßig paranoid bin, wegen all der *“meine Hardware-Geldbörse wurde gerade gehackt „* Beiträge, aber, Gedanken?

The easiest way to prevent this is ONLY connect your Trezor if you are actively sending crypto. No other reason to connect it, so that’s the only time it’s vulnerable and that should be very rare.

While I think it is on the paranoid end of the spectrum, I don’t think it is a bad idea.

If you are at all concerned that the passphrase or device has been compromised, then this would help mitigate that, and I can’t think much else to mitigate the compromised device risk. I think the risk is low, though.

The nice thing about Bitcoin is that it allows you to play 100% paranoid, so you never go too far.

The Canary alert sounds good to me. You can even instead of putting in $10 put in a few more, so that if you are ever physically attacked the attacker can consider that he has collected all the loot and you don’t even know what a passphrase is.

And if you want to go even further, you can use multi-signature methods to protect the money you are not going to move. However, be careful with the management of all these „barriers“ because we are more fallible than we think and many times by trying to be too cautious we have ended up losing the money for not being able to access it.
