Not sure what you are afraid of. Even if someone has open the ledger you can always reset it and ledgerlive shows you if it is a geniune device and would detect if someone has uploaded a hack firmware. Make sure to download a genuine copy of ledgerlive via their website.

Order from Amazon and you are good to go if you want to stay safe from their database leak. Indeed you might not want to trust post offices, but you trust device’s seed generator right?

I own 4 ledgers and going to buy more in time, but I never generate my seeds from the device itself. Ok I know it has a „legit“ EAL5+, AIS-31 certified RNG but you can’t 100 be sure about the entropy and all temper methods I’ve seen is about the seed generation stage, it makes device screen show a pre-determined seed pool. Don’t care my device is legit or not, I don’t use it anyway. This method is extremely dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing. A human factor weak real-world entropy is usually much more expoitable than a casual RNG. DYOR.

Agreed on Ledger wallet being unfit for online selling. When buying online you leave your email and your name/surname. We all remember the [notorious leak](https://cointelegraph.com/news/ledger-data-leak-a-simple-mistake-exposed-270k-crypto-wallet-buyers) of Ledger’s reseller, where 270k crypto holders were exposed.

Having a shop is a MUST in this case.
