Okay. Ich brauche wirklich Hilfe, um zu verstehen, was passieren wird.

      Ledger unterstützt ERC20-Tokens – Tatsache

Okay… nehmen wir also Folgendes an.

That would be up to the project. The token doesn’t just disappear off of the eth network just because a project launches their own L1. I would expect you would be told to deposit your tokens into a vault/bridge and be given the same number on the new L1.

Past projects that have done this (BNB) offered a mainnet bridge. You would deposit BNB-ERC20 and get back BNB-BIP2

It’s up to the project how they want to do it, if they choose to do it at all. Try r/CellFrame (or whatever).

      Hello, Thanks for reaching out.

      > I make a metamask wallet. Then link my ledger. I send an ERC20 token (CELLFRAME) to this metamask ledger wallet. (I Can also see this token through ledger live).

You will not be able to view your tokens in Ledger Live if you send them to your Metamask account. You will need to send your tokens to Ledger ETH to view your tokens in Ledger Live. Then you can connected your Ledger device to your Metamask to manage your tokens.

      > If this token were to have its own mainet launch and become a COIN, what would happen to my CELLFRAME tokens, would they vanish?

Some crypto assets have migrated from a token to their own mainnet. Sending the mainnet version to your Ledger hardware wallet will result in a loss if the mainnet version is not supported.
Users own research before considering to buy and manage any crypto asset. What kind of crypto asset is it? Is it a token? If yes, on which blockchain is the token issued? Is the token later supposed to migrate to its own native blockchain (mainnet)?

Find out which wallets support the token and mainnet versions of the crypto asset. Find out which crypto assets are supported by Ledger.

If your Ledger device only supports the token version of a crypto asset, you cannot use it to manage the mainnet version. If you do proceed to send the mainnet version to your Ledger device, it will be lost.

That is exactly what happened with CRO.

It was just a erc20 token at first.

Then they had the crypto.org chain they then created a bridge where you sent you erc20 token to a burn address on eth and they would mint new token on their chain.

They then added a third chain cronos which is evm compatible and has a two way bridge between crypto.org and cronos.

Regarding the ledger crypto.com developed a desktop app which supports the ledger very well and published the ledger app that you have to install with ledger live. (for cronos you can use metamask and your Ledger with the eth app)

then you will have to exchange your ERC20 tokens for the new coin, as per the instructions given to you by the project.
