Es gibt Gerüchte über einen Windows-Aktivator, der Ihre Schlüssel scannen und Ihre heiße Wallet stehlen kann. Offenbar werden auch Live-Informationen des Ledgers gesammelt. Welche Art von Informationen könnten diese kranken Akteure von uns abkratzen?

Ich verwende KMSpico nicht, aber ich befürchte, dass ich eines Tages meinen Computer umziehen muss und eventuell einen Computer verwenden werde, der ihn zur Aktivierung seiner Windows-Lizenz verwendet hat…

Meine privaten Schlüssel sind auf Stahlplatten gespeichert, und ich habe eine 25er Passphrase.

Hi! Your private key never leaves the Secure Element of your Ledger devices. Therefore, as long as you verify your transactions on your Ledger’s device’s screen* you cannot lose funds due to this breach 😃

*Only the Ledger device’s screen can be fully trusted, as your computer/phone screen might be compromised and display misleading info.

***Basically, the process is the following:***

The unsigned transaction is sent from your computer/phone to the Secure Element of your Ledger device – where a digital signature will be safely computed from your private key + the unsigned transaction (only if you manually approve). Once signed, the transaction will be sent back to the computer/phone, and broadcasted to nodes for them to validate the transaction and add it in the Blockchain.

This virus comes with „windows activators“, i.e. bootlegged software that bypass windows product keys. Are you really getting a ledger and pirating windows??

Ledger is designed to be used on a malware infested PC. As long as you ensure numbers are correct when signing transactions there is no worry.

It fascinates me when people still opt to download pirated windows when you can legally purchase genuine keys through third parties for $20.
