Ich verwende derzeit MetaMask, um die meisten meiner Münzen aufzubewahren. Ich habe mir überlegt, mir so etwas wie einen Ledger Nano S Plus zuzulegen, um die Sicherheit zu erhöhen. Für einige Dinge (z. B. mein PLU-Staking) werde ich weiterhin MetaMask verwenden müssen.

I wouldn’t call it 2FA, but that’s „kind of“ how it works, you connect your ledger to metamask, and can keep using metamask as you do it now and approve/sign transactions with your ledger.

No, do not input your metamask seedphrase into the ledger device, you need to generate a new one and transfer your funds to it.

No it will not, hooking up ledger to metamask does not „pass“ the seedphrase to metamask, your private keys never leave your ledger.

Once your ledger seedphrase has been generated save it somewhere really safe and NEVER put it online.

As u/Rhelza mentioned, you will need to confirm all of these transactions in MetaMask with your Ledger device, physically, and so in this manner, the Ledger acts/functions as a factor for authenticating your transactions.

Importantly, **you do** ***not*** **want to import your Ledger’s recovery phrase into MetaMask or any other software wallet**. Doing so will effectively turn your Ledger from a cold wallet to a hot wallet – meaning that you will no longer need to confirm transactions with the physical device, and effectively this removes any/all of the security benefits of using a physical hardware wallet to store your funds.

Ideally, you will ***never*** enter your 24 word recovery phrase into any sort of digital medium, as this is unsafe and can put your funds at risk – as this process exposes your private key to the internet (and this is the exact opposite of what a Ledger device is designed to do – which is generate and store your private keys offline).

what if I have connected ledger to mm, and than in mm created a new wallet? this wallet will not be visible in my mm after disconnecting ledger?
