Hallo zusammen,

Das ist vielleicht eine sehr offensichtliche Frage, aber ich frage mich, ob die Metamask, mit der man ursprünglich sein Ledger verbunden hat und, sagen wir mal, zum Einsetzen verwendet hat. Muss ich mit meinem Ledger immer über dieses Metamask-Konto gehen, oder könnte ich mein Ledger auch mit einem anderen Metamask-Konto verbinden und den vorherigen Saldo aufheben?

The Metamask account doesn’t matter. It’s just providing an interface for the Ledger, and is in no way permanently linked to it. So you could make 10 different Metamask hot wallets and link the Ledger wallet to all of them if you wanted.

When you connect your ledger to MM and use „connect hardware wallet“, regardless of the MM seed, you will always get access to the same accounts, which are addresses derived from your ledger seed (not derived from your MM seed).

Those accounts are marked „ledger“ or „hardware“ in MM, and those are the only accounts that are secured by your ledger device.

As long as you only use those accounts, you are fine, and you can stake and unstake your tokens safely, and you will have access to those accounts from any computer (and any MM using any MM seed), as long as you have your ledger device.
