Hallo, ich habe Nono S als Backup für Ledger X gekauft. Nach der Installation von Bitcoin und Ethereum ist es bereits zu voll, um XRP zu installieren? Mache ich etwas falsch? Es heißt, dass die Kapazität 138kb beträgt und die beiden Apps 112KB einnehmen. Übersehe ich etwas? Bitte um Rat.

There is nothing wrong, the Nano S had limited storage and its normal for it to be full with 2 to 3 apps. IF you want more storage I suggest you to get the S+ or Nano X, both have far more storage than the S. Or you could just uninstall the apps on the S and reinstall them back again when you need to use it.

From what I’ve heard 2 or 3 apps is the max for an S, you can delete one app and install another and your coins are still safe, they are on the blockchain so just re install the app you deleted when you want to interact with them. It’s the drawback to the S but if it’s just a backup then it shouldn’t be that big a deal. Hope that helps

If you were dealing with several different types of coins on your Nano X, it would have been a much better choice to get a Nano S Plus as a backup (or a different brand of device, like a Trezor), or to verify transactions through a MultiSig setup. That’s because the Nano S Plus has storage capacity similar to the Nano X, whereas the original Nano S has a super limited storage capacity.

As others have pointed out, you can manage all your currencies on the Nano S, but that involves uninstalling apps when you’re not using them.

You dont need to install all the apps, since you have your seed phrase on the S which is a backup to the X. You would only need to use the S if X is lost or stolen and you need to move your crypto,you would need to add the apps/crypto you wanted to move and adter moving then uninstall that app and add the next crypto you wanted to move until you woould get a replacement for the X.

So in reality you wouldn’t have to necessarily rush now to buy the S+ as a back up.

You can wait until you need to replace the Main device. Unless you want to and have the funds to.

Have S also, you can use metamask to show all of your assets. connect mm with connect with hardware wallet. Create the wallets you need and you can see the assets.

If you are not looking to buy additional hardware wallets this is great alternative. I do this

As the apps don’t contain any sensitive information. You can just delete the apps you don’t need.
