Downloaded a scam ledger live app is my guess. Did he get it off the official site? This kind of loss is 100% user error. He made a mistake somewhere.

He entered his 24 word recovery phrase into a scam app.

Unless his sister or mother stole the funds and learned how the Ledger worked in 90 minutes – that is the only way. There is literally no other way.

Sorry to your friend, but he compromised his 24 word recovery phrase, I doubt his mom or sister figured out private keys first try in 90 mins and remotely siphoned his accounts.

Where has he got the address where he sent his coins?

Keep us posted on the process, we see alot of these posts but i’ve never actually seen the actual outcome what happened (potentially as most people end up at „user error“). Every time i see this post i’m even scared to open my ledger app lol

The point is simple, even if someone had access to his ledger live sw… they don’t have access to the ledger to confirm the transfer.
Same with the fake ledger live app..
the ledger live app never ask for a passphrase so without a physical confirmation on the ledger the transfer can not be completed.
So the PC is not the problem.
Or he received a fake ledger or he messed up his passphrase in some way.
No other options in my opinion.
