Danke!

If traveling out of the country I would first check any crypto laws for the countries, provinces, etc that I would be traveling to or thru. Wouldn’t want to go through customs in another country that has a ban on crypto and they take your device.

Second, I would ask myself why do I need my ledger for those 30 days and can I do without it. If I just wanted access to some crypto I would probably transfer a small bit to another wallet or exchange and leave my device at home in a safe place.

If I absolutely must take my device with me, I would leave the recovery phrase and pin at home in a safe location.

I would look up how to create a secondary account on my device with a very small amount of crypto in it, this would be just in case I’m forced to unlock the device for any reason.

I would probably remove ledger live from my mobile and laptop, and only reinstall when I needed access to my crypto.

Hello, Thanks for reaching out. You will just need to take Ledger device + Pin and your computer to manage your crypto assets on the go. We would recommend not to take your 24 words with you since it is the main key that unlocks all your crypto assets.

In case you are worried about losing your Ledger device, we would recommend carrying a back up Ledger device restored with the same 24 words recovery phrase used to set up your first device. If both your Ledger devices are set up with the same 24 words recovery phrase then you can manage your assets with both of these devices.

You should have the pin memorized.
I wouldn’t take the seed phrase though, why would you need it?

Personally I’d leave it all at home unless you are confident that your internet connection is secure. Not public.

I personally would transfer any assets I expected to use while travelling to a hot wallet and leave the Ledger at home.

best is to use brain wallet and simply take nothing with you.

Only load on the wallet what you need for that trip.

Most people diss brain wallets because they dont think one step ahead and realize it can function as a „cash“ account and keep the rest inn proper storage.

Leave everything about the large accounts at home.

Setup for travel, only what your really need access to, what you would not mind losing (much).

That seed phrase maybe encoded in some manner scribed into a spot in the lining of your carry-on luggage?

Your ledger does not „hold your crypto“

Store what you need to travel with in something like BlueWallet. Memorize your passphrase, brush your teeth to it. Your money goes wherever you do regardless of borders. You don’t store it physically, it’s stored on the network. You simply have the only key to access your piece of property on the Bitcoin network. So no, you are never traveling with any funds. They’re stored on the blockchain, not in your pocket on your Ledger.

As has been said by other people:
      1. Do not write down your password, as you have memorized it, there is simply no need and a great risk if you do write it somewhere.
      2. Under no circumstances bring your seed phrase with you. Carrying with you at home or overseas is great risk. You will not need it. If you must have it, ask yourself if the trip overseas is necessary.
      3. If you lose your ledger overseas, you are out $60 to $140. Which is the cost of that ledger device. Even if Houdini finds it, they only get 3 guesses at your password, You can restore a new ledger when you return. On the other hand, if a crook gets ahold of your password and your ledger device, or gets ahold of your seed phrase, you are, as they say in law school, “screwed”.

Why not transfer what you might need to a different wallet and just take the seed?
