Ich habe mich gefragt, was passiert, wenn die Ledger-Firma das Geschäft aufgibt oder den Versand in das Land, in dem ich lebe, einstellt (z. B. würde ich annehmen, dass sie Russland atm nicht beliefern), und Ihr Ledger kaputt oder verloren geht. Oder Sie wollen einfach nur zu einer anderen Marke wechseln, wenn Ihr Ledger-Gerät nicht mehr funktioniert.

Müssen Sie immer noch einen anderen Ledger kaufen, um Ihre Wallet wiederherzustellen und dann die Gelder zu übertragen, oder können Sie es irgendwie sofort auf einem Gerät einer anderen Marke mit der mnemonischen Phrase wiederherstellen?

You restore to any new wallet with your seed words, your coins aren’t on your ledger

It’s a great question. I believe your main accounts for BTC, ETH etc will be restored in case of a different brand, but if you have a secondary BTC or ETH etc account that was created with the same seed phrase, other brand wallets may not be able to restore it and you may not get the same second wallet over there.

The reason is because Ledger uses a custom derivation path to generate further wallets based off of your private key, so its tricky in case you’re restoring on another brand wallet.

I have the nano x and D’cent Bio wallet.

I like the nano for it’s size, looks, usb-c, high approval and integration in the community.

I like the D’cent for it’s ease of on device security (fingerprint), seems to be compatible with more cryptos (at least the ones I have been interested in). I don’t like the micro-USB, firmware update process is a bit more cumbersome than the nano but acceptable. You can download the D’cent app and check it out before making a purchase.

Edit: and they both utilize identical or near same security chip technology from what I remember.
