Hallo Leute!

Nur eine Frage, wie ich mein MM am sichersten machen kann? Ich hatte MM bevor ich meinen Ledger bekommen habe und habe gerade einen neuen Account in MM erstellt, der sich mit meiner Hardware Wallet verbindet. Ist das genug oder sollte ich MM komplett neu einrichten und eine neue Seedphrase generieren? Also grundsätzlich:

1. es ist genug, die Schaffung eines neuen Ledger verbunden MM-Konto
2. ist es sicherer, MM komplett neu mit einer neuen Seedphrase einzurichten

Yes that is correct. Creating a Ledger ETH account and then accessing it using Metamask is more secured than using only Metamask ETH account since your private keys are secured by your Ledger device.

2. it is more secure to setup MM complete new with a new seedphrase

No, it is not. In your case, I would recommend setting up your Ledger device with a recovery phrase using these instructions mentioned in our article here: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018784134-Set-up-your-Ledger-Nano-X?docs=true

and then, transferring all your assets from Metamask accounts to Ledger accounts so that your assets are secured by recovery phrase generated offline by your Ledger device.

Please make sure to unstake any assets before transferring from them to your Ledger account.
