Specifically, there is no communication path open from the iPhone to Trezor. iPhone requires USB devices to register as Apple peripherals. The registration process requires that each unit sold with the certification pay a licensing fee to Apple.
So all Trezors sold globally would have to be marked up by $5 so the few Apple users could use them. Not to mention „FU Apple“ purely on principle.
You can use a Trezor on Apple in the same way that you use a cold-card on Apple. Basically you shuffle TXNs back and forth via PBSTs.
