Very sad to hear that. We are maybe not many using TPM but I can assure you that this feature is unique and one of the best that you have developed.
It allows to secure a whole company, IT department, employees access, inheritance etc without the need of a third party.
Even if it is not integrated as Chrome Extension you should really develop an alternative solution to keep the feature working.
The password management sector is growing fast and TPM is already the best solution IMO. I would even pay a service for it because I know that my passwords are 100% mine.
I really hope you change you mind 🙂

I was so sad to hear this. It was such an amazing system-a hardware based password manager with a slick UI. Really going to miss it as most of the other solutions seemed rather sub par in comparison.

Man, trezor as a company has to explain better what this means or a ton of people are going to get scammed. I also understood when receiving an email today that it was related to passphrases, ans thought it must be a scam.

Just explain in the same email that this is not related to passphrases , for people that did not nerd out enough to know that you can also stor external passwords on trezor.

If there’s not even a tiny bit of effort in explaining this things then of course people are gonna fall for scams and make mistakes.

I just posted an article about how amazing the TPM is https://link.medium.com/MWp8xYMHHwb … Day after you decided that it will be deprecated. So sad. It’s great feature!

Good. I’m a huge fan of „do one thing, and do it well“.

Keep your focus on the hardware wallet. Less distractions, the better.

does everyone with a trezor get affected by this? is this saying the trezor won’t recognize your passwords anymore? or is this just a side feature that people store passwords in so that they can access without having to memorize?

Coinjoin and a mobile app is gonna make trezor so much more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong I love mine but it has needed these features.

just thought i’d leave this here from an article written 1/3/23 by long time well respected security expert Steve Gibson pg 8 [https://www.grc.com/sn/SN-904-Notes.pdf](https://www.grc.com/sn/SN-904-Notes.pdf). several snippets that apply to Lastpass and pm’s like BitWarden and 1password in general:

„LastPass has terrible secrets management. Your vault encryption key [is] always resident in memory and [is] never wiped, and not only that, **but the entire vault is decrypted once and stored entirely in memory.“**

„As we know, I’ve been saying recently that it would be nice if the LastPass vault **were being incrementally decrypted so that only the one password needed for login was decrypted from the opaque blob**, after which its plaintext would be overwritten. But according to Jeremi, that doesn’t appear to be the way LastPass manages the user’s vault. And as for the encryption key always being resident in memory, **that’s a pure requirement of any password manager that isn’t constantly pestering you to reauthenticate to it**. None of us want to be constantly doing that.“

„And we all need to appreciate that **none of the password managers are pretending to protect their users from client-side machine attacks. There is simply no protection for that – ever from anyone. That isn’t available.“**

he’s wrong, there is one that does all those things he wishes for; Trezor Password Manager.

This is why Hardware wallets will never be mainstream, They are way to complicated for the average joe. I’m a boomer and also have a model one trezor , I have no idea how this impacts me , as I don’t live in the BTC wallet world. I don’t even know if I use a password manager, All I know is I have a my seed phrase and pin number. What I will probably do is just move it to my crypto back to the exchange and toss the TREZOR in the waste bin.
