Unfortunately, these types of [address poisoning scams](https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8473509294365-Beware-of-address-poisoning-scams?docs=true) have been on the rise lately, however our most recent version of Ledger Live 2.54.0 has the ability to filter out these $0 value transactions so users no longer visually see these in their transaction histories. [Here](https://www.ledger.com/ledger-live) is a link to our Ledger Live download tab for reference as well.
Importantly, even with this filter implemented, **users should always utilize the „receive“ tab in Ledger Live to generate their addresses with certainty.**
When you do this, you can compare the address between your computer and what your physical Ledger device’s screen is showing you.
As long as the address matches what your Ledger’s screen is displaying – then you know it’s a safe address, generated by **your** Ledger device (aka your 24 word recovery phrase, also known as your „private key“).
