[I am referring specifically to this Amazon store](https://www.amazon.com/stores/Ledger/page/D665D2FA-1FBB-4A5F-953C-15AC875BC674?ref_=ast_bln), bei dem es sich meines Erachtens um den offiziellen Ledger-Shop handelt und der laut Ledgers eigener Website ein zugelassener Vertriebspartner für ihr Produkt ist.

Ich bin jedoch immer noch neugierig, ob es irgendwelche potenziellen Probleme mit einem Ledger-Gerät geben könnte, das bei Amazon und nicht direkt auf der Ledger-Website gekauft wurde.

Benutzt jemand hier ein Ledger-Gerät, das über den offiziellen Ledger-Shop bei Amazon gekauft wurde? Wenn ja, welche Erfahrungen haben Sie gemacht?

Gibt es praktisch einen Unterschied zwischen dem über Amazon verkauften Produkt und der Ledger-Website?

I bought from THE EXACT official Ledger Amazon store have stored BTC, LTC & DOGE on it for the past 2 years and it works great have never had anything just magically disappear. Not going to say how much but it’s a substantial amount of coin.

I bought my Nano X on Amazon last november at $95 thanks to a coupon from my bank. No issues at all. Made in France. Just be sure to buy it in the official Ledger Store and no some other reseller.

Ledger.com is their store. Amazon is a reseller. If I was buying, would buy directly from the manufacturer.

In early November 2021 I purchased a ledger Nano S from Amazon U.K. delivered by their next day prime service.

I setup the ledger as new. It verified it was a legitimate device. It created a new seed phrase for me.

I’ve since used it for a few defi projects. The Eth account has had over $1k Eth sat on it since November in addition some other coins.

If it had been hacked before or after I got it then they must be lazy hackers not interested in $1k of Eth!

My Nano S was my first purchase no problems. Set up is easy. (Linux users need to install headers into bash config first) my X was good too! I own 3 ledgers now

I bought of Ledger website.

But my buddy whose from the USA used Amazon with zero issues. I’d personally just use the official website. You can enter discounts on website too.

When you connect your Ledger device to Ledger Live, it will verify its authenticity. Indeed, your Ledger device is checked every time it accesses the Manager in Ledger Live or when it goes through the Genuine Check during the onboarding process. Genuine Ledger devices hold a secret key that is set during manufacture. Only a genuine Ledger device can use its key to provide the cryptographic proof required to connect with Ledger’s secure server.

If you have set up your Ledger device yourself (you set your own pin code and generated a recovery phrase that you have written down), downloaded Ledger Live from our official website, and connected successfully to Ledger Live, your Ledger device is safe to use.
