Ich bin noch recht neu im Kryptobereich, aber im Laufe des letzten Jahres oder so habe ich meine Trezor-Wallet eingerichtet und langsam Sats gestapelt.

Eines der großen Verkaufsargumente für Kryptowährungen war für mich „alles, was man braucht, ist eine Internetverbindung und ein Recovery-Seed“.

Angenommen, du verlierst deinen Trezor oder er wird in einem Feuer zerstört oder du bist auf einer Insel ohne Internetverbindung gefangen… wie stellst du dein Wallet wieder her?

You can use any BIP 39 compatible hardware *or software* wallet to recover your wallet from seed.

Hi, if you lose your Trezor device, your only way to your funds is with the recovery seed.
You can import it to another Trezor device, or even to some other compatible wallets (hardware wallets preferably).

If you lose your seed as well, you lose a chance to access your wallet ever again.

When you’re on that island make sure you carve that seed in to a tree trunk or better, on a cave wall 🙂

In simpler terms, if you lose the wallet but have your seed, get a new wallet and recover using the seed.
If you lose the wallet **and** the seed, you’re fucked.
If you lose your seed and not the wallet, you’re fucked.

Do yourself a favor, keep that seed in a safe spot. Dont give it to anyone.
