The private keys never leave the Trezor. Even with a bad adapter, if the important stuff never leaves the Trezor, what can the adapter really do?

Of course, there’s probably some genius out there who can make a malicious adapter that can get into the Trezor, but that’s the whole thing about using stuff you find laying on the ground… you don’t.
