What exactly do you mean by that? The device doesn’t have it’s own connection to the internet and can function completely offline. There’s no „ledger admin“ watching you solder chips to the board approving or disapproving anything.

Be careful though, because the firmware does have anti-hacking routines that will automatically wipe the chips if there is a suspected attempt at hacking them.
