As u/VariousJackfruit mentioned, the MetaMask seed phrase is only related to the MetaMask hot wallet’s account. You have to create one of these hot wallet accounts in MetaMask, before you’re able to connect your Ledger and create a hardware-connected account.
Regarding the account that says „Ledger1“ with the small „Ledger“ stamp next to it – this is the account being secured by your Ledger device. This means that any transactions made with this account will require you to manually confirm the transaction with your physical Ledger device, using your hands!
With respect to the „seed phrase“ that MetaMask had you generate, you can choose to use this or simply rely on using your Ledger-connected account. I personally keep a copy of my MetaMask seed phrase purely out of personal preference (similar to what VariousJackfruit was saying), however **the most important aspect of this equation is making sure that your Ledger device’s 24 word recovery phrase is safely stored, secured, and never shared with anyone or stored on any form of digital medium** (the camera roll of a phone, the notes application of a device, data-cloud storage, etc.).
