      Ich denke über die Anschaffung eines Trezors nach. Ich habe gesehen, dass man die Sicherheit erhöhen kann, indem man ein 25. “Wort” oder einen “Code” hinzufügt. Das klingt gut, aber ich habe eine Frage. Wenn meine trezor kaputt geht, komme ich dann an mein Geld heran, wenn ich eine andere Hardware-Geldbörse verwende? Oder ist dies nur mit einer trezor-Geldbörse möglich?

      The 25th word is supported by all vendors implementing BIP39. You don’t need a Trezor or any specific wallet to use it

      Although some call it the “25th word”, it is not. It is also generally referred to as a passphrase elsewhere. It is not a really a passphrase, but that is not important.

      The important point is that it should not be a single word. Instead, treat it like a passphrase for the seed phrase.

      I know there are Android wallet apps that you can import your Trezor seed words & passphrase into and recover funds that way. You can also download this HTML website and use it as a tool to get your private keys (by furnishing your seed words & passphrase): https://iancoleman.io/bip39/

      The bip39 passphrase are supported by most hardware (and software) wallets. However some wallets have limitation on the number of characters you can use.

      For example I believe Trezor supports a maximum of 50 characters, and Ledger 100 characters.

      Also it is usually better to to not save the secret recovery /seed phrase (12 or 24 characters bip39 mnemonic) at the same place as the bip39 passphrase, for security.
