Hallo zusammen,

Ich bin neu im Bereich Staking. Ich möchte ATOM einsetzen. Ich kann sehen, dass ich dies über Ledger live tun kann, aber ich habe einige Beiträge von vor einem Jahr gelesen, die sagen, dass Ledger-Gebühren ziemlich hoch sind und es besser ist, etwas wie Keplr zu verwenden.

Ich frage mich, ob dies immer noch der Fall ist. Ich würde lieber Ledger live verwenden, nur um zu vermeiden, dass ich tausend verschiedene Wallets und Apps habe.

Auch kann jemand empfehlen, Validatoren zu verwenden? Wie ich schon sagte, ich bin neu in Staking, so fühlen meinen Weg. Muss ich einige ATOM ein unstaked für Gebühren usw. halten – ungefähr wie viel wird empfohlen?

I think what you have read regarding the fees was the fee they charged for buying crypto with fiat in the ledger live app. That was, and still is, expensive when compared to using an exchange.

Staking through ledger live however should be the same as using Keplr – you only need to pay the cosmos network fee.

For choosing validators, I would generally avoid the exchanges’ validators (to promote decentralisation), and also avoid the ones with 0% commissions (many airdrops exclude people with 0% validators).

And yes keep some ATOM unstaked for fees. Usually 0.5 is more than enough.

Hi, We’ll be happy to provide some information on this. You can surely stake your ATOM directly via Ledger Live. You will only need to pay the transaction fees which will be same if you any third party wallet. If you choose Ledger as a validator then you’ll pay 7% commission charges for staking via our node. You can also choose other validators if you wish.
