Ich habe gerade einen Ledger Nano X gekauft und ausgepackt, ausgepackt es etc.
Beim Auspacken aus celephane und Inspektion sah ich einige Daumenabdrücke auf sie, und war wie ew es ist irgendwie klebrig.
Ich dachte mir, was soll’s und fuhr mit dem Aufbau fort.
An dem Punkt, an dem ich ihn mit Münzen aufladen wollte, dachte ich – Moment mal.
Was wäre, wenn jemand diesen Nano gekauft, ausgepackt, den privaten Schlüssel aufgeschrieben, ihn mit Celephane umwickelt und zurückgeschickt hätte.
Wie kann ich darauf vertrauen, dass das nicht passiert ist?

was it set up (ready to use) when you unpacked it or did you generate your own passphrase? if the former, then a simple reset might do 😬

Order directly from the source, Amazon is for everyday items Nano X is for lifetime storage. I know it’s convenient Prime holders but let’s be honest with ourselves

As long as you reset your device with 3 wrong pin and generate a new seed you are 100% safe.

If you are curios take a lot at France Ledger Factory on YouTube, they inspect all device manually so it can be the actual fingerprint of someone at factory testing.

What? Are you suggesting that the ledger comes prepackaged with keys? It doesn’t. You make your own.

There is no private key to write down. No seed phrase should already be in the box.
